Ryad Khodabocus from Luton Council of Faiths (LCoF) and part of the team at GRASSROOTS, visited Number 10 Downing Street with other Fairtrade supporters and staff on 1st December 2016, to deliver over 50,000 signatures on a letter from the Fairtrade Foundation to Theresa May.
The letter calls upon the Prime Minister to make a public commitment that our post-Brexit trade deals and business policies will tackle global poverty and deliver a fair deal to farmers and workers in developing countries. 50,057 signatures were gathered in total! Thank you to our local Fairtrade supporters who were among those who signed the letter.
